Helen Seitner was a natural/health food store pioneer. She founded The Stay-Well health shop in Flint Michigan in the 1920’s. She was Matt Weiss’ grandmother and the inspiration behind his dried whole fruit upcycle company Rind Snacks. She always insisted on not letting anything go to waste and he took it to heart.
Rind Snack is on a mission to convince consumers that they can snack better and do better by eating the whole fruit. Discarding ugly and overripe fruit, and edible fruit peels is a burden on the environment and an unnecessary waste of good food.
Rind Snacks transforms citrus, mangos, peaches, pineapples, kiwis, apples, and persimmons into dried, chewy, convenient, and healthy snacks.
The fruit snacks are kosher, non-GMO, gluten-free, packed with antioxidants, and high in fiber.
