Joyce Longfield longed to share her youthful experiences of eating PB&J with her daughter; however, her young daughter’s school had a nut-free policy. Joyce found that chickpeas, one of her favorite snacks, would make for an ideal nut-alternative. Using simple organic ingredients of chickpeas, safflower oil, coconut oil and cane sugar, Joyce figured out how to give it just the right consistency. Chixi Chickpea Butter is non-gmo and allergen-free. It was born in Toronto and it is made in Chicago.
