Imagine a delicious snack that offers more transparency to consumers, more opportunity for farmers, and a better connection between consumers and makers. That’s the concept behind the business and products of Amazi.
Founder Renee Dunn aspires for you to “Snack on Purpose”.
While studying abroad Renee was introduced to the culture of Uganda and its bounty of organic tropical fruit. She knew US consumers would love these fruits. She also knew consumers were becoming increasingly aware of the health and ethical impacts of their food choices. So she conceived of a way to bring those nutritious and flavorful fruits to US consumers and to create equitable opportunities for the farmers and makers in Uganda.
Amazi sources directly from Ugandan farmers, partners with Ugandan businesses for production, then supplies these delicious fruit snack products to consumers – that’s a win-win-win.
Amazi’s products are vegan, paleo, organically grown, gluten-free, and allergen-friendly. They are also free of sugar, preservatives, and hydrogenated oils.
We’re loving their can’t-eat-just-one, dried and roasted – never fried plantain chips.
